From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Charles Alverson is the former editor (under Harvey Kurtzman) of HELP! Magazine. Alverson was born in Los Angeles, California.
In the early 1980s, Alverson was Managing Editor of British environmentalist magazine Vole.
In addition to being an editor, he also was screenwriter of the Terry Gilliam film Jabberwocky, and also of the first (uncredited) draft of the screenplay "The Ministry," which became the acclaimed dystopian film Brazil. Alverson has written numerous novels, short stories, radio scripts and short film scripts, some of which have recently been adapted by John Linton Roberson. Alverson currently resides in Serbia with his wife.
