Wayland Flowers (1939 - 1988) was a puppeteer best known for his puppet, Madame. Madame was a huge hit with audiences in the 1970s and 1980s. Madame had many TV appearances including Hollywood Squares (including the center square for a time left vacant by Paul Lynde briefly), Solid Gold, and various TV guest spots. Madame was even the star of her own show Madame's Place.
