Emanuel Feuermann (November 22, 1902 in Kolomea, Austrian Galicia - May 25, 1942, NYC) was an Austrian (Galician)-born American cellist. His Dvorak Cello Concerto is rendered one of the best interpretations ever, and his playing with Jascha Heifetz on the Brahms Double Concerto for Violin and Cello is still unmatched.
