Jonathan Ross OBE (born November 17, 1960, Leytonstone, United Kingdom) is a British television presenter and film critic.

Ross first became famous in 1987 as the presenter of The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross, a Channel 4 chat show owing a large debt to the style of David Letterman. A year later, his documentary series The Incredibly Strange Film Show introduced many to the works of cult film-makers like Sam Raimi and Jackie Chan.

In 1988 he co-presented the charity show Comic Relief, and, in 1991, he became the regular host of the annual British Comedy Awards. In 1997, Ross played himself in the Spice Girls' film, Spiceworld. In 2005, Ross was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the Queen's Birthday Honours, and also appeared at the Live 8 concerts as a presenter.

He is currently the host of the successful BBC One chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, and of the BBC's long-running cinema review programme Film 2005. He also hosts a Saturday morning show on BBC Radio 2. A regular panellist on the sports quiz They Think It's All Over, he also hosts the panel game It's Only TV...But I Like It.

His nickname is "Wossy" because he speaks with a rhotacism, causing him to pronounce the consonant r like a w.

He is the brother of Paul Ross. The two brothers were actually given each other's name by their parents (Jonathan is actually Paul and Paul is actually Jonathan), but decided to use the names they currently use early in their lives. Jonathan married author Jane Goldman in 1988, and they have three children; Betty, Harvey and Honey.
