Petra Verkaik (born November 4, 1966, Los Angeles, California) is an American model primarily known for posing nude for Playboy as its Playmate of the Month for December 1989. As of 2002, Verkaik held the record for most appearances in Playboy publications by a single model. She also made several B-movie appearances in the 1990s.
She credits her large natural breasts with saving her life when an automobile fell off its jack while she was working underneath it; her ample physique cushioned the impact. Some readers suggest that during the early 1990s she had a nose surgery. But others, who have met her personally, do not believe it and Petra herself has always adamantly insisted that she has never had any cosmetic surgery.
In July 2002, Verkaik made national headlines when she attended a high school prom with Toby Hocking, the son of one of her friends.
