He began his musical career in 1987 when he along with David Matásek founded the band OrlÃk. He graduated from the Prag Conservatory in the area of Music and Drama. After the break up of the band in 1992 he began his solo career. Daniel lives whith his wife Mirjam Müller since 1990. They have a daughter Anastázie and twins Roxana and Rozálie. He used to be interested in autocross, now he's interested in ralley. In 2003 he founded with Roman Kresta foundation Malina.
Landa remains a controversial artist. Much of his earlier music was focused around skinheads and particularly against gypsies, a large minority in Czech Republic. Landa claims to have grown out of his racistially slanted debuts, yet his current initiative, "Ordo Lumen Templi" seems too close to comfort to the nacist "Ordo Novi Templi".
