From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Nicholas Simper (b. November 3, 1945 in Norwood Green, Southall) is a bass-guitarist.
Simper was a founding member of Deep Purple in 1968. He was replaced in 1969 by Roger Glover.
Simper was also a member of the Flowerpot Men back in 1968.
After disbanding Deep Purple, Nick tried to get whatever work he could get. Among those were Marsha Hunt, Lord Sutch, Warehouse and Fandango. Nick was very embittered when Deep Purple kicked him off together with Rod Evans.
