Kenny Cunningham (born June 28, 1971 in Dublin, Republic of Ireland) is an Irish footballer and defender for Birmingham City F.C..
Initially a player for Tolka Rovers F.C. between August 1, 1988 and September 18, 1989, he immediately signed to Millwall F.C., and, in the five years between then and November 9, 1994, he made 132 full league appearances, scoring two goals, his first goals scored in England.
He moved to Wimbledon (now Milton Keynes Dons) on November 9 for 650,000 pounds, playing 249 league games. He was a regular achiever in the Premiership, and arguably even more so when Wimbledon were relegated, as he was desperate to see them get back into the top flight of English football.
In 2002, the best season for Cunningham, he moved to Birmingham City F.C., and two months later was named the skipper for the Republic of Ireland.
He is considered one of the best footballers for Birmingham, having had such a long and active career.
