Vladimir Nazor (born 1876 in Postira, Brač — died 1949 in Zagreb) was a Croatian writer, poet and translator.

Nazor acquired much literary popularity in Croatia writing about folk legends and stories. One of his main works is the extensive novel Pastir Loda (the Shepherd Loda). The work describes the history of his native island of Brač told by Loda, a faun, one of the last of its kind on this island. The tale Veli Jože is also popular: it features a helpful and good-natured giant Jože in the area around the town of Motovun (inner Istria).

During World War II, Nazor joined the Partisans and became a close associate of Tito's. After the war he became the first president of the People's Republic of Croatia's Parliament in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
