John Karlen was born on May 28, 1933 in New York City. He is a character actor best known for playing Willie Loomis and other characters on the American Broadcasting Company cult serial Dark Shadows which aired from 1966-1971. Later he was Harvey Lacey on the CBS crime series Cagney and Lacey from 1982-1988.
