Deron John Miller is the lead singer and guitarist for CKY which was formed in 1998.
Deron is a very proficient guitarist and is best known for his ability to write catchy, yet complex riff-based rock. Deron is also a very wide-ranged singer, whether he is singing very melodically in CKY, or employing his signature death metal vocals in his former band Foreign Objects. Deron and Jess Margera, along with Chad I Ginsburg, are the founding members of CKY which is short for Camp Kill Yourself. Deron came up with this title which was heavily influenced by his preoccupation with horror (particularly slasher) films. He is a noted enthusiast of the Sleepaway Camp films, going as far as to put a picture from the first film in the series on the cover of an early CKY EP. Coincidentally, he married Sleepaway Camp star Felissa Rose in 2003, and celebrated the birth of their daughter Bianca in 2005.
Deron is also contributing to James Murphy's Death tribute album and was actually the person who came up with the project. His two main inspirations are Chuck Schuldiner and James Murphy.
