From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Alessandro Alessandroni (born March 16, 1925 in Rome) is an Italian musician. He plays multiple instruments, including the guitar, mandolin, sitar, accordion, and piano, and has composed over 40 film scores.
Alessandroni is an accomplished whistler. He collaborated with his childhood friend Ennio Morricone on a number of soundtracks for Spaghetti westerns. Morricone's orchestration often calls for an unusual combination of instruments and voices. Alessandroni can be heard as the whistler on the soundtracks for Sergio Leone's films A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, and Once Upon a Time in the West.
